I’m reading a short story collection by a Singaporean author called ‘Ministry of Moral Panic’. I’ll leave you with the first lines of the next story I will be reading. The story is ‘Fourteen Entries from the Diary of Maria Hertogh’

I am only thirteen but I would like to tell you something: there is something far worse than not being loved by anybody, and that is being loved by everybody.

Also, the first line of the last story I loved from this collection titled ‘Love is no big truth’
There is no such thing in the world, as I cannot live without you; you cannot live without me. The earth spins. Time passes. Rice is eaten. What is there to disapprove?
