We went to the Big Bad Wolf Booksale which is supposed to be one of the biggest book sales in Malaysia. It happens once a year and people apparently queue outside the doors since 6.30 in the morning just to be the first ones to enter the sale. The sale lasts for a few days, but I had heard that the most popular and coveted books are gone in the first 2-3 days. We went on the first day at around 9 am and it was pretty crowded. I spend almost 3 hours in there, just the sheer size of the book sale overwhelmed me.

I bought a lot of books, even my husband picked up a few. I’m not going to talk about all the books, that would be very time-consuming, but I’ll mention a few.

The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton: I picked this one because I loved The Forgotten Garden, it’s one of my all time favourite books. I also liked The House at Riverton.

Steal you away by Niccolo Ammanati: Again, his ‘I’m not Scared‘ is one of my favourite books. It’s been so long since I’ve read it, but I still can’t get it out of my head. The book sale facebook page had mentioned that this book would be there in the sale. I picked it up the moment I saw it.

Sing you Home by Jodi Picoult: I haven’t read anything by Jodi Picoult for a long time, her topics can get very depressing at times. But this one is an LGBT love story so hopefully not as sad. I read she wrote this book after her son came out to her.

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: Already finished this, I found it sweet and entertaining. The author is very popular in the Book blogging and vlogging community. this is the first book I’ve read by this author.

Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall: This about a woman who was born into the FLDS community and escaped when she was a teenager. I already finished this and loved it, will post a review soon.

Cathy’s book and Cathy’s ring I bought on impulse. This one is not from this book sale but another one near my house. I just couldn’t resist the design and packaging. They were both really cheap.

Also Fractured by Clar ni Chonghaile is a review copy. It’s about the guy who is kidnapped in Somalia.

I haven’t read Moby Dick and this edition is too beautiful to not buy.
